The angular extensions suggest shifting frames and multiple ways of looking from various perspectives. However, unlike the cubists, there is no exterior object to consider such as a figure, landscape, still life. Perhaps it is only mind looking at mind when viewing this painting in a slow dance of triangles across the picture plane.
